The Black and Hispanic Real Estate Forum is committed to helping the Black and Hispanic community of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, end its current state of economic exploitation and displacement by reaching for the higher state of economic empowerment by achieving three goals within the real estate industry:
1- build and preserve multi-generational wealth by increasing the percentage of ownership of multi-family housing by Black and Hispanic people;
2 - increase the percentage of business that Black and Hispanic owned real estate service firms are receiving from NOT just Black and Hispanic clients but from All participants in the real estate industry;
3 - increase the percentage of Black and Hispanic people employed within the real estate industry from building trades to professionals.
To this end, the Black and Hispanic Real Estate Forum will sponsor events that foster discussions of industry trends, insight into market opportunities and build a cohesive community of active and passive real estate investors, service providers and community development leaders.
The Black and Hispanic Real Estate Forum will do more than just talk about the problem of the lack of ownership of multi-family housing by Black and Hispanic people BUT will help to solve the problem by helping to organize Black and Hispanic people to raise investment capital to help achieve the stated goals of economic empowerment.
Real Estate Pitch Forums
For example, the Black and Hispanic Real Estate Forum will host monthly Real Estate Pitch Forums just as they do on the TV Show Shark Tank, matching Black and Hispanic real estate entrepreneurs with Black and Hispanic investors.
Black and Hispanic real estate entrepreneurs will present their deal to a panel of experienced Black and Hispanic investors that will ask them questions and then allow the audience to ask questions.
At the conclusion of the pitch, the pitcher walks away with potential capital, a partnership and/or advice on how to restructure their deal for a financial home run.
In another segment of the Real Estate Pitch Forums, Black and Hispanic owned real estate service firms (i.e.: lawyers, brokers, mortgage bankers, architects, appraisers, property managers, contractors, plumbers, electricians, etc.) will have time to introduce their firms to attendees.
As always, the goal is to increase the circulation of the dollar within the Black and Hispanic community from the current ZERO to many multiples in order to foster a higher state of economic empowerment, in order to end the current state of economic exploitation and displacement of the Black and Hispanic community.
