Lopez-Pierre Real Estate News will be smart, provocative and controversial: launching in 2020 and airing online (weekly) at harlemrealestatefund.com.
Thomas Lopez-Pierre, an economic disruptor with a proven track record of SPEAKING TRUTH to POWER will serve as the Executive Producer/Host of Lopez-Pierre Real Estate News.
In the pilot episode, Thomas Lopez-Pierre asks Garry Anthony Johnson of Johnson Design Consulting, Inc. and Co-Partner of The Harlem Rocket about why Black and Hispanic people own so little of the commercial real estate in Harlem and about his new venture, The Harlem Rocket (a tourist speed boat that accommodates 95 passengers that will operate from the 125th Street Pier - harlemrocket.com) in Harlem, New York.
Lopez-Pierre Real Estate News will be a weekly discussion (no more than 20 to 30 minutes long), featuring one-on-one interviews with leading Black and Hispanic real estate professionals.
In the beginning, Lopez-Pierre Real Estate News will focus on New York (expected to expand to New Jersey and Connecticut).
Conversations will maneuver between (but NOT limited to):
1 - strategies and plans to rally the Black and Hispanic community to increase their capital investments in the ownership of commercial/multi-family housing and;
2 - the Black and Hispanic personalities leading the charge to build economic empowerment in Black and Hispanic communities.
Lopez-Pierre Real Estate News will explore the under belly of gentrification and the not-so surprising ways in which the Black and Hispanic community is negatively impacted (i.e.: displaced by "Greedy Landlords").
